How Does a Motorcycle Work? Battery The battery can be located in various positions on the bike. It can be hidden from sight. On this Harley-Davidson, the positive terminal is most accessible from under the seat. Therefore, if you ever need to do a jump start, you have to remove the seat. On my Honda Gold Wing, the battery is behind a plastic panel on the right side. Always consult your owner's manual to find out where your battery is.
