Motorcycle Tip - Cleaning a Motorcycle Gearbox

Here's a Motorcycle Tip from my previous forum corner host, Plain Jim.

A previous owner had let gear oil leak over the rear-wheel gearbox of my shaft-driven Intruder, and the oil had cooked onto the box. How to remove it?

A gentle application of metal polish got the wax off, and you can clean off the polish before it mangles the paint (if you're careful).
