I literally hate cleaning the spoked wheels on my motorcycle and so far the best way I have found is to get three bottle brushes at the hardware store.

Use one to clean with car soap, rinse, and let dry.

Then apply wax to the second brush to wax in between the spokes, let dry.

Then polish with the third brush.

Any final polishing can be done with a rag if you're so inclined.

The bottle brushes go in between the spokes without damaging the spokes or your fingers.

It's the easiest way I have found so far and the quickest.
