81 Years of BMW: Gallery Picture of a 1940 BMW R51 500cc

This is my father in 1951 with his 1940 BMW R51 500cc bike. The R51 was made from 1938-40. The bike could be a 1939, just don't know. I wanted one like it for myself but couldn't find one. I was able to find a BMW R51/2 500cc bike, made between 1950-51, that I am currently restoring. -- Alfred Kandlbauer
