Motorcycle User Reviews - 2005 Kawasaki Vulcan 750

It started out as the best bike I had ever owned then it developed some little problems and got very ugly with less than 21,000 miles.

I have had clutch grinding, covers falling off, backfire problems, hard starting, blown forward base gasket on the last day of warranty. Also, both overhead valve cam chain tensioners replaced and generator cover decal burnt off.

I have had every tune-up done on time costing over $1500 and $750 for extended warranty because it keeps breaking the motor. It has been out of the bike twice for repairs and Kawasaki states it is a low maintenance bike. My next tune-up is going to cost me over $500 to grease pinion and front end steering and basic tune-up.

This bike had been in the shop 14 times in 15 months. All these problems and Kawasaki says they fix things under warranty but don't see a problem. But every time I take it to the shop, I lose money paying transportation expense getting the bike to the shop and paying for a ride home then paying for a ride to go pick up my bike. That adds up to hundreds lost and I bought it to save me money. It is nothing but a money pit making the dealer rich and me poor.

Thanks GA Motorsport and Kawasaki for selling me the worst bike ever. I have to lose another $2500 just to get rid of it on a trade-in. -- Donavon
