Motorcycle User Reviews - 2002 Suzuki Volusia I bought a used 2002 Volusia about two years ago. It has been awhile since I started riding again. About three years ago, I rode a Honda VLX600 which is a great bike to start on, but for 2-up and mostly the look, it was too small. Very nice bike and reliable, but after checking around, the Volusia caught my eye. The bottom line is it is a perfect all-around bike. Very reliable, surprising power and balance. I have ridden with friends on large bikes and it blends in great. It looks the same visually and handles better. To most people, it looks like a Harley Fat Boy (except a lot less money and easier to handle). This bike is very reliable and will satisfy your needs. Also, I saw in a magazine, that this bike was rated the best among 800cc bikes. Harley 883 Sportster was the slowest and last on rating. I rode an 883 Sportster and it does lack power.
