Motorcycle User Reviews - 1987 Honda Shadow VT700C

I bought my 1987 Honda Shadow VT700C used in 1989. If there is a better ride out there I haven't come across it yet.

I'm 60 years old and have been riding since I was 15 when I bought a Cushman Husky 5 hp centrifigal clutch scooter. Bought a new Montesa 250 King Scorpion 6-days trials bike in '71 -- still have that one too. However, since the Shadow came into the picture, that is the only one I ride.

The only problem with keeping bikes so long is the parts availability from Honda. Just yesterday I was out riding and the rear brake return spring broke, and I have scoured the Internet for that part and Honda quit making THAT part. Geez. Anyone have any idea as to where to find one? This bike has about 50 more years of riding to do and I have always kept it in showroom condition. -- Steve Lindgren
