I met Greg and Sherry at Stanford's Restaurant at Jantzen Beach area just north of Portland and passed the knapsack along to them. We had a great visit, and I'm so pleased to have had the opportunity to meet them. Did you know they are newlyweds? Sherry's been riding for years, but Greg is a newbie rider to boot. Now that's jumping in with both feet!
We were happy to meet indoors, and having arrived in cars we didn't have to contend with the Portland rain that is threatening to swell the local creeks and rivers into widespreading shallow lakes! We had a waiter click a picture of the handoff - which Greg will post when he gets back home. They're off to the grandkids this weekend. We're all interested in the Rhody festival in Florence with Tony and Janice later this year, so perhaps we'll have an opportunity to meet again.
