How Does a Motorcycle Work?

Clutch Lever

clutch lever

  • The clutch lever is positioned on the left-hand handlebar grip where the fingers of the left hand can reach it. Pulling the clutch lever toward you disconnects the engine and transmission and allows you to easily shift gears.
  • The clutch lever is either connected to a cable that goes to the physical clutch release mechanism or it is hydraulically operated. Use of a hydraulic clutch eliminates broken clutch cables.
