Magazine Articles:
MCN -- April 2007, page 12 -- Road King Custom: Egads! The "Logical" Harley-Davidson
"The Road King comes equipped with Harley's new rubber-mounted Twin Cam 96 cubic-inch (1584cc) engine, mated to H-D's latest six-speed transmission. Harley's press materials claim the development of the 96 'has been the biggest new-engine program in the history of Harley-Davidson' with more than 700 new parts produced. The new engine, which now comes with only electronic fuel injection (carburetors are gone for good), and increased compression (9.2:1 vs. 8.9:1 last year), makes 66.5 hp and 78 lb.-ft. of torque, which is roughly a 10% increase in both categories over the old Twin Cam 88 cubic-inch (1450cc) engine." -- Don Searle, Contributor
