"Significantly, fuel injection replaces carburetion on the 900, largely for emissions reasons. The new EFI uses two 34mm throttle bodies in place of a single 36mm CV carb on the 800. Built by Keihin, its EFI is the excellent, double-butterfly throttle valve design that uses computer control of the upper valve to maximize intake velocity for best response.
