Magazine Articles:
MCN -- June 2007, page 16 -- Moto Guzzi's Norge 1200: Challenging the BMW R1200RT
"Once on winding roads, the bike's nimble handling (a function of its longitudinal crank layout) is almost astonishing, and corner entries don't seem to demand lifting the throttle to reduce the typical gyro effect. And even deep lean angles are very neutral in response to steering angle, so that the rider always feels in control, able to tighten a chosen line if necessary with relaxed confidence. If sport-touring is about unravelling great roads, the Moto Guzzi is ready." -- Dave Searle, Editor-in-Chief
Rider -- June 2007, page 58 -- Sport-Touring Goose: 2007 Moto Guzzi Norge 1200
"This all requires a drivetrain to get going -- engine, transmission, final drive -- and right here I will say that riding the Guzzi requires a bit of acclimatization. It has its own particular Italian character, the most obvious one being the side-to-side rocking sensation when letting out the clutch and starting off from a stop -- a product of the longitudinal crankshaft. It may be mildly off-putting to the rider who has never ridden a Guzzi before, but it is a perfectly natural state that disappears as soon as one is rolling." -- Clement Salvadori, Contributor
