47 Years of Harley-Davidson Sportster - Gallery Picture

This is my 1991 Harley-Davidson Sportster XLH1200. Appropriately named "Screamin Demon," I've had her for about two years now and have done a lot of cosmetic surgery on her. I started off changing the stock buckhorns for dragbars, which includes Arlen Ness Chrome twister grips, ProOne Mini Speedo and Tach. Those all mount on a 4 degree raked CovingtonCycleCity Narrow Glide Triple Tree, and 6 inch over fork tubes. I purchased a 2 inch stretched smoothtop gas tank to give her a longer, beefier look. I also purchased a Lepera bare bones gel solo seat, 1 3/4 drag pipes, CCI front and back mini side markers (back lights not shown in pics) as well as 6 1/2 inch CCI Chrome Headlight, new stock taillight housing and cover and chrome "Sportster" tappet block cover. Also shown are matching Arlen Ness Chrome twister footpegs and shifter knob to go along with the grips. I also purchased a new custom front billet rim and a solid rear wheel which in my opinion, looks damn good! I topped it all off with a fresh coat of medium Quasar blue paint. Silver flames coming soon. For the future, I'll add chrome engine covers, i.e., primary, sprocket, rockers, etc. and maybe, if I'm sitting around bored this winter, I'll cut the frame, stretch it and add the 180 rear wheel kit! -- Shaun McCluskey
