Motorcycle or Biker Rallies - This Year's Major Rallies for Motorcycles

Covid-19: The following rally dates and activities may be greatly changing depending on how quickly this virus is brought under control. The dates are current as of April 20, 2020.

Part 2: This year's major motorcycle rallies (biker rallies)

The following lists the major motorcycle rallies (biker rallies) for 2020. Consult the links to the individual Web sites associated with each motorcycle rally. They will lead you to more information you need to know as you plan what motorcycle or biker rallies you want to attend this year. Some sites may not yet have updated information for this year. Check back later.

  • March 6-15: Daytona Bike Week in Daytona Beach, FL
    Daytona Bike Week has its 79th annual rally. Expect multiple hundreds of thousands of riders.

  • April 23-26: Laughlin River Run at Laughlin, NV
    This is the 38th annual Laughlin River Run. Cancelled

  • July 13-19: Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally
    Myrtle Beach Bike Week now seems to encompass events, attractions, and rides over a wide area along the Grand Strand of South Carolina. The website is somewhat confusing as to how all this works.

  • May 25: Rolling Thunder® 33 at Washington, DC
    Rolling Thunder® is run in conjunction with the Memorial Day weekend. Check out the Rolling Thunder® website for the schedule.Cancelled

  • July 21-25: Americade at Lake George, NY
    Americade has become the world's largest multi-brand motorcycle touring rally, drawing more than 50,000 registered riders. Expect as many as 100,000 on the streets and leave your loud pipes at home.

  • August 22-30: Laconia Motorcycle Week at Laconia, NH
    This is the 97th anniversary of the Laconia Motorcycle Rally at Weir's Beach.

  • June 18-20: MAWMR at York, PA
    This is the 28th anniversary for the Mid-Atlantic Women's Motorcycle Rally. It's best to leave your husband at home although some activities do admit men.

  • July 7-9: WOW International Ride-In at Winona, Minnesota
    WOW is Women On Wheels®.

  • June 25-27: BMWMOA International Rally at Great Falls, Montana
    This is the 48th annual BMW MOA rally. MOA stands for Motorcycle Owners of America. See Web site for details.

  • August 7-16: Sturgis Motorcycle Rally® at Sturgis®, SD
    This is the 80th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally® . The Black Hills are beautiful. Expect in the multiple hundreds of thousands of riders.

  • June 30-July 4: Wing Ding at Springfield, MO
    This is the 42nd annual Wing Ding rally sponsored by the GWRRA. Basically Wings and Valkyries only.

  • Late August: BuRP 202018 at Maggie Valley, NC
    This was the 19th annual rally for members of various motorcycle forums including Motorcycle Views. Organized and planned by forum members themselves, BuRP is a great rally to get people out from behind their computer screens to meet their Internet friends face-to-face. If you are a Facebook member, use the link above for updates on rally dates. Otherwise, use the Motorcycle Views Forum link on every page of this site to access the forum. If you aren't a member of the forum, register (FREE) and then post a message inquiring about the rally.

  • October 15-18: Biketoberfest 28 at Daytona Beach, FL
    Biketoberfest is an off-season event drawing thousands of riders.

  • Love Ride at Glendale, CA. This event held its final ride in 2015.
    Billed as the largest one-day motorcycle event in the world, the Love Ride raised money for the Wounded Warrior Project, MDA, and other charities and had many celebrity riders including Jay Leno. The Love Ride Foundation still exists to support charities. There may be some sort of activity or specific charity for 2017. Check the website.

    After 33 years of service, the Love Ride has come to an end with the 2015 event. In the words of the festival's founder, Mr. Oliver Shokouh: "It's been my honor to serve these causes for decades. And I'm eternally grateful for the outpouring of support that so many gave this year as we ride off into the sunset with over $1,000,000 raised for Wounded Warrior Project and a total legacy of over $25,000,000 for charities to date. Lives are changed because of your attendance and participation over these years and I thank you from the bottom of my heart."
