Defect Summary:
On certain motorcycles, the rear drag link-through bolt may bend and, if not replaced or overloaded, may fracture causing the rear tire to contact the underside of the rear mudguard.
Consequence Summary:
This could cause a loss of control, increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective Summary:
Dealers will install a higher grade nut than the original arrangement and a single-through sleeve (the original design included 3 separate sleeves). The recall is expected to begin on or about December 4, 2006. Owners may contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010.
