Motorcycle Equipment Recall - Tong Ho Hsing Industrial Company Hawk AP-80 Motorcycle Helmet

Defect Summary:
Tong Ho Hsing Industrial Co. is recalling certain Hawk AP-80 motorcycle helmets, part number T378, size M. The affected helmets may not adequately protect a user in the event of a head impact during a crash. As such, these helmets fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, "Motorcycle Helmets."
Consequence Summary:
Helmets that do not adequately protect the wearer increase their risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Corrective Summary:
The remedy for this recall is still under development. The recall is expected to begin in August 2016. Owners may contact Tong Ho Hsing Industrial customer service at 1-978-483-8072.
