Motorcycle Equipment Recall - Fuel SH-HHGL1 Small Motorcycle Helmets

Defect Summary:
Fuel Helmets (Fuel) is recalling certain SH-HHGL1 helmets, size small. The strap that secures the helmet to the rider's head may fail in low or high temperatures. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 218, "Motorcycle Helmets."
Consequence Summary:
If the helmet strap fails to keep the helmet secured in the event of a crash, the rider has an increased risk of injury.
Corrective Summary:
The remedy for this recall is still under development. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners may contact Fuel customer service at 1-855-355-3835.
