Wild Motorcycle Tales Here's a great story from John Frye. Got your own story? Send it to me. Whoops! I had just left my last class at college on an average winter day. I hopped on my Moto-Guzzi and noticed it had been raining, the parking lot was wet, but no problem. After leaving the parking lot, I turned right and headed down a steep hill. Much to my surprise the wet pavement was not wet at all but was black ice. After my first tap on the brakes my bike shot out from under me. That is not too unusual. What was unusual was that I was sliding backwards, downhill, with my bike in hot pursuit and the shocked motorist, who was following me, sliding behind my bike. We all slid to a safe stop at the foot of the hill. I had to finish my trip home by running with the bike. It was too slick to ride and the bike was too heavy to push. -- John Frye
