Wild Motorcycle Tales

Here's a great story from edeee2. Got your own story? Send it to me.

Sweet Revenge

A few years ago it was the first big charity run of the summer. This is a big event and draws a large number of participants.

As do many runs, there was a free breakfast, midday lunch, and a grill-out later that night. This was a whole day event that covers several hundred miles. The stops along the way had donated money to the charity in exchange for several hundred riders stopping to patronize their business.

The run was in two waves. I paid my fees, got my breakfast and sat down at a small table with two chairs. A few minutes later, a female voice asked if she could sit down and join me. She stated there were no other places to sit. I naturally told her, "Please be my guest."

I looked at her and saw a very attractive Chinese girl. She was tall, about 5'-10". As we ate, we chatted about our bikes, the run, and other things. As with most big group events there is usually some loud mouth guy who can be heard above all the other noise. I didn't know the guy but had heard and seen him around for several years. One of his things besides being loud was to get laughs by embarrassing someone.

My new breakfast friend decided to ride alongside of me and to get to be friends. This was OK with me as she was very attractive and a feast for my old eyes. At the first stop, loud mouth started on a guy he knew and his wife. He loved to get laughs as he embarrassed them. My new friend, Sue, did not like this and stated someone should teach him a lesson.

At the next stop, it was the midday stop half way thru the event. Sue and I made cold cut sandwiches and took them outside to eat them. Sue ate about half of her sandwich and got up and walked over to big mouth's bike. She took something from her vest pocket and tore off the top of something. The packet was poured on the ground on both sides of the bike. Then she poured whatever it was on the gas tank. She threw the empty packet papers on the ground on both sides of the bike. Sue came back and finished her sandwich and drink. She disposed of our waste and set back down next to me.

Soon old loud mouth came out to his bike and began cussing, screaming profanities that I never heard of. "Someone sugared my bike," he screamed. There was actually no sugar put into his tank. Just set up to look that way.

We left without loud mouth. About six weeks later, I saw loud mouth at another run and he was actually quiet and polite. I heard him say it needed rebuilt anyway.

I saw Sue on and off that summer and we rode together quite often. Sue and I were only friends due to a big age difference.

I guess if there's a moral to this story it could be: "Just a spoonful of sugar helps the loud mouth go down." -- edeee2
