Motorcycle User Reviews - 2006 Yamaha YZF-R6

Best looking sport bike out on the market. Although Yami made a huge mistake getting rid of the black and replacing it with a charcoal color.

Rides smooth, handles well, and it has power at the flick of the wrist. When people say this bike is missing low-end power, they need to keep the bike in a lower gear. It screams when you want it to hovering above 5K RPM.

You don't want a bike that will launch off at low RPM on the street. You want that little bit of forgiveness so you are less likely to make mistakes.

Comfortable, easy to ride, and handles like it is on rails.

Things I don't like. No fuel gauge. Just a low-fuel warning which is good but still, come on, every bike should have a fuel gauge.

And the mirrors only let you see briefly who is next to you. Forget about seeing anything behind you.

Great bike. Ergos are very good. Why can't they have both lights-on and a high beam. One is low and the other is high. Popeye. -- NightRiderX
