Motorcycle User Reviews - 2006 Ducati Monster S2R

Have owned my Monster for just over a year. Rode to Tallahassee, FL and back to Houston in four days. Bike is definitely not built for touring. Bought an H-D Electra Glide upon my return. Other than that, fantastic bike.

Lots of get-up-and-go to play with the sport bikes, a more comfortable ride, although I get a little tired after about 300 miles without a major break.

Unique look that only naked bikes can get. Everywhere I go, people come over to look and compliment the bike. That fact continues to amaze me as I paid a few hundred dollars less for it than a Honda 919.

I did pay for the 3-year service plan, more due to the fact that the dealership is about an hour away and they come and pick the bike up and drop it off with the plan, so maintenance to date has been $0, or $2K depending on how you look at it. -- Andyh
