Motorcycle User Reviews - 2008 Victory Vision Tour Premium

I'd like to share my experience with my 2008 Victory Vision Tour Premium. Here is a list of problems I've had since buying it on 11/15/07:

  • I'm on my second set of front tip-overs due to blistering chrome.

  • The front nose piece and rear speaker housings were so poorly fitted, that the dealer had to fix them.

  • The battery died twice due to the trunk light switch throw being too short.

  • The rear brakes were very bad. The dealer bled off quite a bit of air.

  • A hole blew through the rear cylinder head. Since the new cylinder head was installed, both the cruise control and throttle, on occasion, fail to work.

  • I've had the motorcycle die while driving. I soon after received a recall notice for a repair to fix the problem.

  • The paint on both exhaust tips has flaked off.

  • I had an oil change and the filter leaked.

I have driven 2,200 miles and spent $760 on operating costs simply in getting the bike to and from the dealer. It has been in to the dealer 11 times, taking up more than two months of shop time. Victory Riders Association (VRA) has failed to provide any service as required in the Terms and Conditions of Service.

I'd like to hear from others who have had problems with their Victory Vision motorcycles. -- Rich Esser
