Motorcycle User Reviews - 2008 Roketa 250 Cypress

On 07/18/2008, I purchased from Scooter Nitro a 260 Machoman Touring Scooter. I received in a Machoman box, a 2008 Roketa 250 Cypress instead.

The specs are not as good, and when I requested the right bike I purchased, I was told I got what I paid for, and they credited my account $200, and told me to just try it.

I tried the 250 Cypress and here's the problems that it has:

  • Engine cooling fan - not functional
  • Odometer - not functional
  • Turn signal switch - not functional

Then the head lights and tail lights stopped working.

The Cypress would no longer hold a charge within days and would have to be jump started.

I took it to a bike shop and they told me they wouldn't touch it, as it had major electrical problems and the chinese bike is too unfamiliar.

They had to jump start my bike out of the parking lot.

It died on the way home, and I had to pay $69 for towing.

Scooter Nitro's response is, "Oh well, tell us what parts you need, but you're stuck with labour."

This is after being sent the wrong bike, and a bike that out-of-the-crate, didn't work. -- Rick
