Motorcycle Santa - Special Times

The children in Johnny Cellphone's house had just got up out of bed and were still dressed in their pajamas.

Six-year-old Caroline, with her long golden curly hair, had on her favorite pink nightgown. She ran up to Motorcycle Santa and yelled up at him, "My Daddy painted my room pink just for me. I have a pink dresser, a pink bed, a pink bedspread, a pink pig, a pink pillow, a pink phone, a pink ..."

"Wait a minute there Caroline," Motorcycle Santa spoke in a soft voice to his pink friend. "Do you want a world all filled with pink? We need more colors than pink. And please don't yell, sweetie. You'll wake up your Mommy. You need to be quiet. Shh."

"I know, but I like pink. Pink, pink, pink. Did you bring me anything pink?" she asked.

"Sorry, Caroline, but I'm low on pink this year," he said. "So I guess you want me to make more pink toys for next year. Is that right?"

"Pink is for little girls," Caroline said.

Her brother, Connor, interrupted with, "Girls are stupid." Connor is eight.

"I am not stupid! You're stupid," returned Caroline.

"Please kids, I'm here to get your help about what you think I should make for new toys next year," said Motorcycle Santa. "We can't do that if you're going to fight with each other."

"Well, I'd like to see a pink motorcycle," said Caroline. "My Daddy's motorcycle is all green and chrome looking. I never see pink motorcycles. When I get old enough to ride, I'm going to paint my bike pink. I think that we need to have pink motorcycle toys now to get people thinking about big pink motorcycles when they learn to ride. What do you say? What do you say? Please. Can you make some pink toy motorcycles? And, and, please leave me one next year for Christmas."

Hard to argue with a six-year-old curly headed girl with her mind made up, thought Motorcycle Santa.

"I'll see what I can do," said Motorcycle Santa.
