Component:  Structure
Manufacturer:  Triumph Motorcycles America, LTD
Recall Date: 12/04/2013
Potential Number of Units Affected: 416
Defect Summary:
Triumph Motorcycles America Ltd (Triumph) is recalling certain model year 2013 Trophy SE motorcycles manufactured June 1, 2012, through February 28, 2013. In the affected motorcycles, the left hand center stand mount may fracture.
Consequence Summary:
If the center mount fractures, it will not provide adequate support for the center stand while the vehicle is parked and may cause the motorcycle to fall over, increasing the risk of injury to those nearby.
Corrective Summary:
Triumph will notify owners, and dealers will install a new center stand bracket to the left hand side of the motorcycle frame. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. Customers may contact Triumph at 1-678-854-2010. Triumph's number for this recall is SB508RM2013/033.
